•Youth classes have a minimum of four students and a maximum of eight students. Any group of two or more players may schedule their own group by contacting High Point staff at 972-941-7170.
Group lessons are very popular and some classes fill very quickly. To assure a continuous chain of instruction, it is recommended that students enroll for multiple sessions at the time of initial registration. For example, a student should enroll for a Beginner session in the first session, an Advanced Beginner I group in the second session, and an Advanced Beginner II group in the third session.
High Point offers group lessons year-round to children, ages 3 & up and to adults of all ages. Once introduced to the game, players are encouraged to continue playing through progressively more challenging and enjoyable tennis playing formats.
The program consists of both instructional and play portions in each class. The goal is to have students playing tennis (in some form) as soon as possible. For children, the instructional/play sequence is: 1) Tennis Tots or Tennis Tykes, Pee Wee I and Beginner lessons (depending on age), 2) Advanced Beginner or Pee Wee II lessons, and 3) Future Stars or Pre Junior Development (Play and Instructional Programs).
