USA Tennis
Instruction
Teen-Adult classes have a minimum of six students and a maximum of ten students per class. Any group of two or more players may schedule their own group by contacting High Point staff at 972-941-7170.
Group lessons are very popular and some classes fill very quickly. To assure a continuous chain of instruction, it is recommended that students enroll for multiple sessions at the time of initial registration. For example, a student should enroll for a Beginner session in the first session, an Advanced Beginner I group in the second session, and an Advanced Beginner II group in the third session.
High Point participates year round in the "USA Tennis" Program, a national program designed to introduce children and adults to the lifetime sport of tennis. Once introduced to the game, players are encouraged to continue playing through progressively more challenging (and fun-filled) tennis playing formats.
The program consists of both instructional and play portions in each meeting time. The goal is to have students playing tennis (in some form) as soon as possible.
For Adults, the sequence is: Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Learn and Play, High Point intra-facility leagues, USA Team Tennis for Adults, and USA Adult Leagues. The USA Tennis 1-2-3 Program serves as the basic format for all Adult Programs.
